- First Head of Law and Enforcement for the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC)
- Senior legal advisor to Indonesia, Bangladesh and Jamaica on environmental enforcement in programs funded by CIDA, the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank
- Previously a lawyer in private practice
- Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta and an LLM from the Dalhousie Law School
